History In The Making - Record Breaking Deal

The Edmonton Capitals are on the verge of setting a new Golden Baseball League record and the team is celebrating the stretch of domination with an offer to their loyal fans in attendance.

Be a part of history, and if the Capitals win their 14th consecutive game Friday night, setting a new GBL record against the Yuma Scorpions, any fan in attendance can redeem their ticket stub for a 2-or-1 offer to any remaining Capitals home game in the 2010 season.

A 14th straight win would also tie the all-time record winning streak for any professional sports team in Edmonton. The Eskimos won 14 in a row as well, but that streak spanned over two seasons in 1954 and1955.

Friday’s game also happens to be a Safeway Fireworks Friday with a spectacular fireworks show after the game, and the weather forecast calls for sunny and 20 C by game time at 7 p.m.

The Capitals are Edmonton's first choice for professional baseball and family entertainment. Season seats start at less than $9 per game and are available pro-rated for the balance of the season.  Individual game tickets are available for just $10 every game. Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster locations, the TELUS Field Box Office during regular business hours, by calling (780) 414-GOAL (4625) or online at capsbaseball.ca.
